Insight Optics has introduced OptoView, a mobile telemedicine platform designed to bridge the gap between primary care providers (PCPs) and local eye care specialists for enhanced retinal screening.

OptoView allows PCPs to efficiently record, store, and transmit retinal exam data to nearby eye care professionals. This process is bolstered by a dedicated screening portal where specialists can review recorded exam videos, providing comprehensive findings and follow-up reports.

This platform is device-agnostic, compatible with any smartphone-enabled ophthalmoscope, and offers several key features:

• Recording of raw HD video from retinal examinations
• Unlimited storage for patient information and exam data
• Capability to send exam videos to eye care specialists within the OptoView network
• Generation of PDF reports for reimbursement purposes
